Nicholas Temperley confirms the date of this second collection of Anthems and Psalms as between August 1800 and about 1811, as being the dates when the publisher, W M Cahusac, was at 196 Strand, London. Bearing in mind that Michael Dobney was very much involved as Band Master of the Northamptonshre Militia up until 1804 when his term of service ended, an approximate date of 1805-1807 is therefore suggested. |
