beat Napoleon Bonaparte at the decisive Battle of
Waterloo,
and 18th June 1815 became a date to be
remembered in the British calendar.
Immanuel’s Ground, Warwick’s
west gallery Quire,
commemorates this glorious achievement in song and
dance of the period
at a concert in
Northgate Methodist Church, Warwick, on 20th
June 2015,
entitled
The Path to Waterloo

this concert includes cameo sketches of events of
the time
a musical depiction of the Battle of Vitoria, and
the first performance of
a Newly composed
Anthem ‘I will sing unto the Lord’
written especially for the Quire
by the acclaimed New England composer
